Hey guys,
Just dropping in to let you know
what’s new. I had a really good 2013 season. Managed to pull off a 5th
place at the amateur nationals in Springfield, Il and I won the points championship
on my vintage bike for the fourth year in a row!! I also made my first dash for
cash down in Hays, Ks late this year. I wound up with a 4th behind
Brad Baker, Rob Pearson and Davey Durell in the dash. I was super pumped about
that, but by the time my first ever 20 lap main came around I learned that I need
to be in better shape. I got arm pump real bad and didn't place as well in the
main event. More importantly though I got some track time with a few national
numbers and figured out that I can run the pace them! Just last weekend I broke
out the vintage XL 350 on the coke syrup here in Des Moines and managed to pull
off a 3rd even with a 36 year old bike. Plans are underway to go to
Daytona at the beginning of March to kick off the 2014 season. Oh, and my AMA
Pro Racing license application is in the mail! So here’s to a kickass 2014 season!

Just dropping by to catch y'all up on how the 2012 season went. I won the points championship in the Classic Flat Track Series for the 350 class for the third year in a row! I got a ton of good experience on a Triumph twin that a good friend of mine built for me, and some really good results came from the modern bike as well. I won one hell of a race between me and one of my best friends in the Open Amateur class on the CRF 450 at Knoxville in front of all of my friends and family (and FTWCO of course). That was one of the most fun races ever, and to get to win at my home track made it even better! Overall 2012 was a great season with 7 main event wins at the end of the year. Thanks to Fenders Cycle there is a new 2010 Crf 450 motocrosser sitting in the Baber Racing stables. Between my Dad and I she will be looking like a true race bike in a month or so. We also have a 1955 Harley-Davidson KR in the works right now too. The 2013 season is looking promising... Lets go racing!!

Introducing FTWCO Racer #27 Jordan Baber
Alright well, my names Jordan Baber. I'm 17. Born and raised in Carlisle Iowa. I'm currently in the top of my senior class at Carlisle High School, with plans on attending Iowa State University in the fall for engineering. I race flat track competitively, but every now and then you might catch me racing a local motocross. If I'm not found around there its pretty likely I'm tearing up the woods or the ice with my buddies. My dads worked on motorcycles for close to 40 years and been around motorcycle racing for almost as long, but never raced himself. So naturally I started riding dirtbikes at a very young age, and my dad's friends had a flat track in their back yard. I remember going there to watch several times when I was younger and it was then that I fell in love with flattrack. But it took a while to get my mom convinced about racing so I have only raced for 3 years now. For such a sort career I've already had some pretty good achievements, including a Nebraska State Indoor Flat Track Championship, and last summer I won the Classic Flattrack National Championship series. Hopes are high and everything is looking good for this season as I plan on racing all over the midwest in modern and vintage classes. I have a 2007 Honda CRF450, a 1976 Honda XL350, and a 1970's Triumph 750 for race bikes.
